I arrived in America on Saturday. The flight was fine even though it was really long. It was good to see my family again, but I really didn't do much because I was too tired. I got my hair cut today. I chopped a good few inches off and now my hair is around shoulder length again. It's not too long, but still long enough to pull back. This should be easier to take care of when I arrive in Japan and the weather is all hot and sticky (because it's going to be the middle of summer).

Happy New Year everyone! I'm so glad 2008 is over. Summary of 2008: when it was good, it was pretty good, and when it was bad, it was really bad. I want to believe that 2009 will be better. C'mon 2009, don't fail me.

I'm feeling better now. Things have begun cheering up around here. I still miss my grandpa, but it doesn't hurt so much anymore. I know he no longer has to suffer.

I also have a 4 day weekend. It'll be nice to just relax this weekend.
