As promised, another quick update. Still doing fine and the shops on my street have begun to re-open. An extra 16,000 police officers has (unsurprisingly) helped to quell the violence in London so, fingers crossed, the worst is over ( Read more... )

Okay, yes, looting is ongoing in London. It's scary both in the nature of the violence and the unpredictability of selected locations. It was particularly unnerving when I was unable to stop at any store on my way home from work yesterday - they were all shut and boarded early. I will try very hard to update with a more extensive post tomorrow but I just wanted to let everyone know that I am back in my London flat, safe and sound.

And yes, it's raining.

I can finally confirm:

I will be flying into Philadelphia on June 25th and leaving July 10th!!!!

Tomorrow I board a plane for a two week trip to China.

My classmate just emailed to confirm our reservations for dinner on the 83rd floor in the Taipei 101 building.

Somehow, surreal doesn't quite cover it.
