Zanzibar came back from a visit to the Nexus today with some odd ideas in his head. He was worried about somehow getting stuck as a person - in me - instead of as a firelizard.

After having met Druaga in the Nexus, X was understandably disturbed and concerned. As the conversation had gone on, it became more and more apparent that the Hunters from his world had a valid concern that Druaga could be dangerous.

( X knew he needed to contact his alternate. Quite possibly the same one Zanzibar had seen in the Nexus not long ago. So he wrote a message and called for the fastest messenger he had available. )

I swear, Zanzibar gets into more things...Zanzibar went off to play earlier today. A few hours later, he comes back with a note from one of my alternates. And signed with a happy face, no less. Despite getting drunk and having another reason to dislike a Lumine alternate, I think it helped a bit. Talking with Zero later helped as well. I think I needed that. Just having someone to lean on and tell me I had helped. And having Axl come to me about it, and being able to help, was good too. He was pretty angry about it, understandably. ( Read more... )

I think Zanzibar likes the lightning materia best. I'm going to start having him practice in the shielded training rooms from now on.

...Maybe having Zanzibar keep the Ditto company wasn't such a good idea after all.
