It's nice to know that the future of female geekdom in this town is secure. I tested a 16-year old today who is a HUGE Doctor Who fan. It was awesome. First off, HUGE thanks to donutsweeper, who is lovely and sweet and who sent me flowers! Why did she send me flowers? I have a new job. Full-time with benefits ( good health insurance for the YAY) and working with people I worked with years ago and like. They took me out to lunch today to celebrate. My official start date is Monday, WOOT.

We just got notices under our doors that the apartment complex, starting tonight, has a CURFEW. For everybody. After 10:00, we can be on the patio, or walking to or from our cars.
