There is one thing that almost every writer is told for their entire life, in order to help bridge that gap between "aspiring" and "published"....to read lots of books. Which is nice advice, but totally unrealistic for a full time student.

So Gunnar and I just got back from seeing a play, "Jack and the King," which was written by a friend of ours here at SEU. It was a delightful good time--funny, intelligent, and cozy. Most of the actors were also SEU students and friends, and we also knew pretty much every other person in the audience, including another RA and my poetry professor! ( Read more... )
