A Five Star Review!

Feb 02, 2008 07:25

So Gunnar and I just got back from seeing a play, "Jack and the King," which was written by a friend of ours here at SEU. It was a delightful good time--funny, intelligent, and cozy. Most of the actors were also SEU students and friends, and we also knew pretty much every other person in the audience, including another RA and my poetry professor! It was performed at the Blue Theatre, a small theatre with a large, intimidating carving of a genie over the back door, behind a shady looking Goodwill. It was definitely an enjoyable time, and if you live in the area and are itching for something really localish and cool to do, you should go!

Before that was my staff development get together. We Princesses of East got together and played "Killer Rabbits." It was a fun game, but some of the people on my staff *cough* were too nice to play any exciting cards, not wanting to kill bunnies at all. We also watched "Bride and Prejudice," an amazing Indian Bollywood take on the one of my favorite romance stories of all time. I highly recommend it!

And the third event of any consequence today was a visit from Josh. We enjoyed some Ragsdale food, installed the scanner he brought me (Thank you!) and chillaxed a bit in East. So you lot here on LJ can look forward to seeing some of my (admittedly not very good) Harry Potter fanart in the near future!

Anyway; it's time for Heroes and Ice Cream.
