WOW today has been awesome!

So Emily and I, after reading a Lot, went over here to my house where my Mom set us up with all sorts of art stuff. I started trying to decide what to draw/paint/pastel/whatever, and came across a lot of landscapes that really appealed to me. My mom gets Southwest Art and American Art Review, and cuts lots of pictures out for the art classes she teaches. I love southwestern art btw. I decided to do this blue-green mountainscape. Slightly abstract with snow in the foreground. I LOVED IT. Emily chose a deer leaping, and her acrylic painting came out pretty good!

I did mine in pastels, and I'm so proud of how it came out. It's probably not good for my ego, but oh well. I worked a long time on it today and got black and blue chalk all over my clothes and hands and face. It was wonderful. I already have my next one picked out. I LOVE ART! Though I must admit, I really work much better in 3D, which is so much less stressful.

We also watched Hitch, and between reading art and a movie, the day was over so quickly. Yesss. So I was able to make it to my sister's softball game on time! (I thought I wasn't getting off until like 7 today, but Mary got home at 5:15! Saweet.) I got to see my sister hit one awesome home run (which I got a sweet action pic of), and then pitch a couple innings. I had to pick up DB, and then go home, eat pizza with DB and Rob, and finish up my pastel. Apparently DB needs me to patch his hoodie.

Tonight was my sister's team party for softball, which was at our house since my parents are the coaches. I love watching them coach together. It's when they make the best team I think. I came down and made the most perfect s'more you've ever seen. I watched Brynn break the house record for smores (10!). My sister and her friends CRACK ME UP! I had the best time goofin around with them. And i really enjoyed rocking out to the green day American Idiot CD with my Dad. He get so into it. He loves green day. I thank him a million times over for bringing them into my life at an early age. He's so funny to watch air drum. I love my family. we're so dorky.

Hm. i'm dirty: pastel chalk, sunscreen, softball dirt, marshmallow sticky-ness, and campfire smoke. Shower? yah definitely.
