Scholarly Stuff; Academic Activities; Graduate Goings-on:
~Library, picking up a thick and scholarly looking book on Anglo-Saxon art
~Meeting with Dr. Ruddy to find out I don't have to pay for the Latin class YAYYYYY
~Class, with a very very interesting topic on medieval archeology, ah Finan.
~Photocopying for Dr. Popiel
~Lecture from a visiting Leeds professor on Christian views of the Pagan enemies after the first crusade, which ended with wine and department mingling- got to meet one of the new MA students who seems cool and normal, and yet, he's a medievalist! score. Also, was frustrated that among the lecture attendees, of which there were over 20, less than 15% were female.
~Reading about Anglo-Saxon Pottery. I didn't get enough of that done today, but, considering all the other scholarly activities, I still consider myself a successful grad student today.
*crosses fingers* GOD I HOPE I HAVE ENOUGH TO SAY ABOUT POTTERY TO FILL 20 PAGES!!!
