Because I was at Kristi's for a delicious dinner party of homemade Greek food! I loved it because I got to talk about Greece a lot - she's also hiked the Samaria Gorge!!! I really miss that trip. It was a wonderful experience (5% because Greece is wonderful and 95% because I LOVE my friends and we all had so much fun - I miss laughing myself to sleep with Julia and Sammi in foreign hotels!). But anyway... here's pictures of my fun with friends! Casey was invited along as well, which worked out because Kristi's friend Cat was there too, so it wasn't all historians!
Kristi's greek feast! She was calling her mom and yaya the whole time while cooking she said, making sure she made all the greek foods right! Everything was delicious!
Here's the three Americanists at the party - Matt (aka, jesuit-matt), Kristi, and Carrie! Carrie had just come from work at the cupcakery, and had to throw a bottle at the window to get us to let her in!
1st year MA students!!! (+ Casey!)
That Wednesday night was so worth not having all my articles read for Thursday's class...
Also, my family's not all coming out today with my car... :-( I was really looking forward to seeing them. But, Squeaks is getting over being sick (I <3 you Squeaks!) and there's a huge drifting snow storm at the edge of CO and Kansas that they can't drive through. But, the good news is that it's so cheap to fly even last minute to St. Louis that my mom may just send my sister out for the weekend! (cause she has a break and was SO looking forward to coming!) I'll have to come up with lots of fun stuff to do with her while she's here! YAY sister! Just gotta figure out how to get her back to the airport on Monday, but that shouldn't be too hard.
Now, reading about 1066!
