I LOVE CHRISTMAS BREAK!
The 27th was my favorite day so far, for a lot of reasons. But the best parts of the day were hangin out with Sammie, applying to Yale, and accompanying Sam, Dad, and 5 15 year olds to Dinner for my sister's birthday party. We went out to La Fondue in Denver and I took lots of pictures for Sammie of all her friends and then lent her my camera for the night to take goofy shots. Dad and I ate at a table nearby, and eventually all the people in our section of the restaurant left (presumably because they had Buell tickets) it was just our two tables. The girls had a blast because Fondue is so fun, and I had a REALLY nice time at dinner with just Dad. I never really get a chance to do too much with my Dad, so it was so fun to have a glass of wine, a HUGE dinner, and a long conversation just me and Dad. We had a good time too, especially when we discovered how delicious/fun tempura-ed shrimp was! I think that dinner will be up there on my best memories from Christmas break.
That day I also took Sammie to the Orthodontist so I got a lot of time to write in my diary, which was nice. And the next morning we laughed our butts off as we edited all her photos from the night before, and also went shopping at Kohls for Mom's presents and Wal-mart for D.B. I am actually pleased that I got my brother two actual presents that I think he'll really like.
I've been working hard on my applications too, and over the last few days I have totally finished up Yale, Indiana, Notre Dame, Catholic, and Toronto. I'm very proud and so excited for grad school. People ask me what my top picks are for schools, and the answer truly is, "whichever app I'm working on at the time!" I really do like all my choices.
Today I spent the entire day reading and watching movies. Watched Shanghi Noon with Sammie, then we went to the bookstore and I got The Lady and the Unicorn which I read all day and am already half done with now. Watched Mr. Brooks (which was awesome) with Mom and Dad, and that was my WHOLE day! Oh well I guess I also applied to Toronto too. It was such a relaxing day!
