Yesterday, I:

Sep 15, 2006 09:34

- did thingy on revolting Authorship essay.

- fell asleep at three a.m.

- got up at eight-thirty, zombie-like.

- went in, it being Horrible Thursday which I cannot avoid.

- discovered that we were still on LA Confidential in English...

- ... and still on the freakin' Parthenon in Classics (though it was an interesting lecture on the custody battle for the marbles between Greece and the British Museam - yes, my lecturer makes even this fascinating).

- realised that John Carpenter was a Big Thing in our Film course and Leah, Sas and only seen two of his films between us, and therefore need to get down to Choices this weekend. Which makes us so sad.

- got much further into LA Confidential, which is awesome in a very disturbing way.

- handed in thingy about baffling Authorship essay which I read as implying that auteurism had been invented by the movement and wouldn't have come about otherwise despite it being a natural progression of film as an art form, which I realised in the tutorial was probably completely the wrong reading but refuse to feel bad about, because it is a stupid, convoluted essay that utterly confused everyone in our class.

- fell asleep at eight p.m.

- slept for thirteen hours.

Aaaahh.

Today, I will:

- buy milk for tea.

- eat bad Chinese, or possibly, for variety, bad Italian.

- groove to Choices.

- watch Halloween and The Thing and possibly Ghosts of Mars, despite Rotten Tomatoes calling it a flaming poo-bag.

I'm so ambitious. Oh, yeah.

sleep, movies, food, university
