It is two days since I turned 23 and I am feeling pretty good. My birthday on Sunday was great. The job search continues, thus far without result. But I'm branching out! Today, instead of trawling all the depressing entry-level retail jobs available online, I went for the first two that looked interesting and didn't require prior experience: a front-desk receptionist at a hotel in Ahuriri, and a senior typist position at a girl's school. I'm really glad we have a bath because this morning at 8:30 builders came and ripped out our shower. Apparently it was dripping all over the people downstairs. Ah well, our brand new shower will apparently be usable this time tomorrow.

This is sadly exciting. I haven't done a proper picture that was more than half-hearted doodling in many, many months, and then I was watching The Secret of Kells again and decided to take a stab at something heavily stylised.
