Did the earth move for you?
Was sitting here, quietly plugging away at the laptop, when the building suddenly gave this hard, rattling shudder not unlike a plane hitting the runway at a bad angle. I went "WTF?" and ran to the common room where a bunch of lovely Annex people, all of them Kiwis, were (and still are) placidly watching Bridget Jones's Diary.
Said, "Was that...?"
Ally's big beardie boyfriend: "Yup. Earthquake."
My immediate response: "Fucking AWESOME!"
Because OMG, have lived in five different countries in three different continents and have never once experienced an earthquake. Even if it was a completely piddling one. *g*
