I am the events coordinator for a student organization. We agreed to help out the school with a speaker event that is related to our organization's mission. BUT this is the SCHOOL'S event, and not ours. We're just being nice by helping them out. The school office that's running the event asked me to send out a school-wide email reminding people

TOO LATE. Pretty sure I'm dying of melanoma now.

Well, you won't die unless it's spread over a really huge patch of your skin. I saw it on Oprah.

But you might want to have it checked if you're being serious about being worried.

Well, everyone on my mom's side of the family has had skin cancer issues, it's not that insane or paranoid. I'm really pale, and a red spot has just appeared on my right hand. It makes me nervous.

Don't panic, but definitely see someone, to stop freaking out about it. I had an illness scare recently, and until I got an all clear from a doctor, I was going out of my mind thinking up worst case scenarios, and it was just making me feel worse.
