Aaron felt nervous and stupid, and it was compounded by the rain beating down on his back as he rain the doorbell. Why was he here? The kid had made his feelings pretty clear the last time.. This was just stupid. He shouldn't be here.
But when Mary answered the door, looking surprised, he fed her his usual song and dance, which gained him access to her dry house. He may as well have been a fucking wet rat at this point. He smilingly agreed to a cup of coffee with her, ignoring how weird it probably was to be doing so with the mother of his... friend? Were they less? Were they more? He had to know--it was part of the reason why he was here.
Couldn't fucking tell by the way Aaron ignored the subject of Teddy like the plague it-motherfucking-self.
