So they said at the panel. I didn't actually confirm this, and I couldn't remember it. It is entirely possible she did it on sga_flashfic and hasn't collated it to her website or LJ yet.
Useful URLs from the Internet Strategies for Fen panel are here. Let me know if I screwed up the description of del.icio.us.
I've come up with the following definition for ex fic: Fic that explores the premise and canonical relationships of a show in ways that are not possible or is unlikely to happen. It's not perfect, but I think it's a good start and has the advantage of being only one sentence. Of course, I'd still quite like to call it splore fic. I think it has a ring to it: splore, het, and slash. ::nods head:: I like it.
Was the other thing a neologism or just something we thought should occur? I don't remember.
It looks like I will never get a con report done, because I'm trying to deal with RL. This trying to be a responsible adult is seriously cutting into my fan time.
Oh, I'm pretty sure I only wrote a con report because I refused to read my flist until after it was done. The question now becomes, can I ever catch up on my flist?
And your description of del.icio.us sounds good to me.
We had the Story Plotting Game panel dumped on us just that morning - actually it was dumped on me and I shanghaied Carol to help because, well, she is cool - and we were really really pleased with how well it went. Carol said, and I agree, that the success was due to the participation of the people who came. :-) People jumped right in, came up with terrific ideas for each other, gamely wrote stories even when they didn't consider themselves writers, listened appreciatively to other people's stories... it was great.
And your stories were so good they made me shiver. Since I'm doing a con report under my real name, the stories will probably wind up on the website where I post my con reports, linked from the main Econ website if the webmistress is willing.
Thank you. Other people had really cool stories, though. I was *way* impressed with Judy's imagination. And everybody really got into the spirit of the thing.
Can you e-mail me with the URL when it does go up?
