Shorter Kathryn Cramer

Bankrobbers drive away from their crimes in cars, so ethical people should stop driving, or else we should assume they rob banks. Original url www.kathryncramer.com/kathryn_cramer/2009/01/aliases-are-for-people-on-wanted-posters-preaching-the-evils-of-using-pseudonyms-on-the-internet.html

Also, it is totally relevant to a discussion about racism that you worked for somebody a long time ago. Even if I don't have any reason to think you left on anything but amicable terms. Even if you're not working in the industry any more. Even if the discussion totally has to do with things your ex-associates and ex-bosses wrote on the Internet, and not any actual industry work they're doing. Even if a lot of people who are not now, have never been, and never have any intention of joining the industry are saying similar things, which tie into similar things they have said about other people, some of whom are not now, have never been, and have no intention of joining the industry. Also, also I am aware of all legal identities and will only talk to people using theirs. alternative Freezepage version.

Okay, that second one may actually have failed at being shorter, but *shrug* my point is made.

kathryncramer.com has been pulled down and the links above now go to pushbuttonhealth.com, which looks like some sort of MLM scheme. Foolish me, I didn't freezepage the pages before they disappeared. *sigh* I have got to learn to be quicker on that freezepage trigger.

kathryncramer.com is back up, but the two URLs I have marked with original URL have been redirected to what appears to be a drugs related MLM, of the sort that I wouldn't be surprised if there were viruses coming from it. I have supplied screencaps of the google cache.

Also, verb-noire is open. That's the press karnythia and thewayoftheid are going to open. They're not quite ready for electronic submissions yet, but soon, baby soon. Also, also, the Carl Brandon Society has recommended reading lists and needs your donations to fund its scholarships.

ETA3 I have a freezepage of the googlecache of this post, but the top of it not only gives Micole's full name but also links to the parts where Kathryn connected her name and LJ. Since Micole's identity is not actually why I'm mocking Kathryn, I'm just going to blockquote the bit I'm mocking. I thought about doing a screencapture of the freezepage in question and just editing the graphic to remove Micole's name, but once I've edited the graphic at all, it's no less suspect than the technologically simpler cut and paste. Also, I couldn't get the header information in the same window as the bit I'm mocking; the screed about Micole was too long. Can I just say, for the record, that I think it is wildly unethical to flame, under a fake name that you refuse to associate with your real name and history, your former boss and people you formerly worked with at a company, especially like claiming to take the moral high ground on an issue like, say, race. I am appalled, just really appalled, & even more appalled by people who think this is a legitimate use of an alias. It is not.
