Loved this. I was smiling the whole way through!
"Apparently, the patients from Providence Park were enjoying a day outing." - great line!

I love screwball comedies! I wish they made movies like that these days.

This was a fun story. It's interesting that Ianto]s Cary Grant, and Jack is Katherine Hepburn.

I was just thinking that To Catch a Thief could make a good TW story; Ianto would make a good Grace Kelly.

Between the two of them, Hepburn and Grant made some great ones. I had originally planned to also do Desk Set, a Hepburn/Tracy comedy. In that one, Ianto would have been Kate. He's versatile like that. :D

Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

This was so much fun to read. First of all, I love the movie, and I thought Jack and Ianto fell into the roles perfectly. There were so many things that I liked -- Ianto in the UNIT uniform, George digging up sex toys, and the Copacabana song! Also:

In reality, encountering Jack Harkness had been the equivalent of throwing a black cat through a mirror while dancing under a ladder.

Yes. <3

And on a sad note, following Jack on one of his half-thought-out adventures is what ultimately gets Ianto killed.

Fortunately, nothing like that ever happens in my fic.

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.

The song was Faith's stroke of genius. Now I just wish I could get it out of my head. Little embarrassing to get caught humming this at work.

So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.
