StarFest 2009, or, A Blizzard of Fannish Glee

Apr 26, 2009 14:50

First, my pictures are here. One day, I will remember to learn how to take pictures in a large, dark room before going to a con; this was not that day. Zoom in for better shots of Katee, etc.

Fest of Stars, sort of )

sga, sg1, star trek, bsg, t00bage, sci-fi

Dude. I hadn't exactly forgotten any of this, but your memory was a LOT more detailed. :-) Gotta love the Action Figure Theatre, though, and the Trek love.

Having the schedule at hand helped a lot. The action figures were too much fun. :-D

most excellent zorb! thanks so much for writing it all up. since i've never been to a con, these recaps are like manna from heaven. sooo interesting. and thanks for the heads up about 9--i had no idea. have i been living under a rock? it looks brilliant. and is being released only 2 days before my birthday so that's nice. anyway, glad you had such a nice mellow time.

Sure thing! Most people seem not too aware of 9, but I've been a fan since the original short and I think fandom will love it.

Yay! That's fantastic that you wore the t-shirt. I'm bummed Katee won't be at DragonCon, but I will be wearing the t-shirt there!

You should print out cards with the cafepress url for D*C, because I can guarantee you'll get asked!

Thanks for sharing and the pics. You didn't go for auto/photo-op?

Hee! I'm not much of a collector of that kind of thing; to me, it's a lot of money for a piece of paper and a transient interaction. *shrugs*

She was lovely and I hope you get to see her at some point!

Great write up of the con. I know what you mean about the company being better than the con. Should I ever win big in the lottery, I'm hosting a fangirl con where we will all get together and just have a good time. Bring your dvds and action figures and that will be the entertainment between all the gabbing about our various reasons to squee.
