Wooo, earthquake! Well, that was fun.

The news: "We're interrupting this program to tell you about something you're probably aware of." Hah! Nine miles NE of San Jose, 5.6 estimate.

And now back to Charlie Brown.

LOL! We got both the p and s waves... after the first one I sarcastically said "oh noes, it's the Big One!" Then we got the second shake and I felt like I should knock on wood. :P

Haha, yeah, that was funky. I was like, "Can I go back to the computer now? Oh, wait, maybe not."

Haven't felt something like that in years! Quite a boost to the evening.

Shook a little, rolled a little. No big deal - 5.6 is pretty moderate, and I've been in scarier ones. The most "damage" I've heard reported is ceiling tiles falling and stuff falling off store shelves.

Wait, where do you live? I thought you were in So Cal. (See how much I stay up on the news??)

We felt the p and s waves all the way in Santa Cruz. My cat is still hiding under the chair :(

I got a job in the South Bay and moved up at the end of May. *g*

Aw, poor kitty! I distinctly remember the beeline our cat made for the door right after the 94 quake.

Wow, another reason why I always get my news from LJ - it's faster.

Pshaw, aren't you glad you got your earthquake practice as a tot in SoCal?
