Dancin'

...so I was dancing around my living room like a dork. I do this from time to time. Storm decided to join in.

I was astounded by his ability to reverse. While it is true that I had put a command to that (he needed it for Rally Excellent), I've never tried doing it without command. The fact that he has associated it with heel pleases me greatly; ( Read more... )

:D

I'm glad that you think so! It's the most non-metal thing on the planet, but Storm sure gets a kick out of it. :)

Storm's been responding to music since he first came home, and Freestyle is something I've toyed with. It's not something that is available everywhere (judges/competitions are scarce), but it's really fun to train. :)

The only bummer is that Storm and I lack space. I can explain why I'm setting up jumps and things in the bit of grass between the apartment buildings, but it would be really hard to rationalize dancing around with my dog in the same area...

My cat cannot (or will not) reverse, so I am glad Storm can. This is one of those things I can watch again and again just because it's so cute.

Do you train your cat? :D

It did take a little while to train it, as it is not something that a dog (or cat) would normally do. We eventually got it, though, and it is one that the neighbor kids like to see.

No, no training the cat except when it comes to meal time. My cat likes to walk in front of me and then stop suddenly so that I have to brake hard not to step on him. Then, he will scrunch up into a ball, and turn around. He has no reverse gear.

Storm looks like he is having so much fun.
