It's official; I've started on the sequel to Lottery Odds.  The tentative title I am going with is Chances Are.

More to come later, but damn, it feels good to be creating again.

THINGS TO DO TOMORROW:

1)  Play Doom 3 or Quake 4, whichever one floats my boat at the time.

2)  Get down and dirty with the Ibanez RG 550 and play some gut-busting old tunes I haven't dredged up in a coon's age.

3)  Laundry.

4)  Watch Stargate: SG-1 or Friday Night Lights, whichever one tickles my fancy.

Some brief writing-related thoughts:

1)  I've found it a little amusing that after title of their novels, some authors feel the need to put the words A  NOVEL.  You know, like: "The Host: A Novel by Stephenie Meyer."  It's almost as though if the author doesn't put those two all-important words after the title, I'm going to mistake their book for a ( Read more... )

So I now have my next target lined up for Salvation, but I am going to need to add roughly 10,000 words of material before sending it off.  When meeting with an agent previously, I was told that in this genre you want to go about 80-100,000 in terms of length.  Since she's the professional and I am the glorified amateur, I am going with her advice.
