The Great San Francisco Adventure, including Patrick Stump: a Multimedia Experience

Apr 18, 2011 16:21

Back in Portland now. Have some numbers: I was awake for over thirty hours (after very minimal amounts of sleep for the three nights previous), we drove for about twelve hours (hard to tell, we stopped a few times for food and bathrooms and running around in the dark like lunatics and napping at rest stops), after which I slept for EIGHTEEN HOURS ( Read more... )

family, epic roadtrip, concert, i love my awesome friends, i love my awesome life, youtube, picspam, patrick stump, patrick stump is probably a time lord, music, epic adventuring, patrick stump is bigger on the inside, i love patrick stump

Did you even breathe writing that? I'm glad the show was awesome!

Gratuitous Patrick gif!

Yes, I did breathe, but that is only because I am not capable of holding my breath for five hours (that is, approximately, how long it took me to write that thing).

The show was SO AWESOME and I am sad that you were unable to enjoy it with us. :( I hope you are able to have a fantastic Patrick experience of your own one day.

THAT GIF! OH MY GOD, WHAT IS HE DOING! IT IS THIS ENTRANCING CONVERSATIONAL PATRICK DANCE AND I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO STOP STARING AT IT!

I think he was talking about earphones? It's an interesting interview, regardless.

Between you and Dar, I feel like I've basically seen this show. Dear goodness do you two wax lyrical about your Mr. Stump. Though I'll admit, watching the videos I can totally see how he's the sort of guy whose well-being is one of those things that benefits everyone. (Is he like, frak-all tiny? I was halfway through the Grammy medley when I realized he was standing up.)

OUR LOVE IS DEEP AND PURE. I am trying to think of any other musician on the planet that I care so much about on a personal level. Like, to the point that we were worried about his emotional health during the creation and promotion of this EP and his upcoming album, because he seemed stressed and less happy and he lost a shit-ton of weight and changed his whole look, which, you know, good for him, he looks great, but is he eating right?! And we were all relieved when Dar could tell the difference between the first and last nights of the tour in how his nerves had evaporated and he seemed happy, and we were close enough that we could see that he still had a little bit of a belly under his shirt and we were like OH THANK GOD. ...I realize that sounds creepy but OH GOD I JUST WANT TO PROTECT HIM FROM EVERYTHING BAD IN THE WORLD, THIS IS WHAT HE DOES TO ME ( ... )

DO YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN NOW?

HE MADE ME CARE.

And yeah. 5'4. He actually seems smaller than that in person.

SERIOUSLY, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!

...Actually, this is probably better, because I didn't have to wait as long. It was like, hey, these Fall Out Boys are pretty good, ohmigod that VOICE, ohmigod Patrick Stump I am so in love~, hey this new solo project that he's working on is exciting, hey ohmigod an EP, HEY LET'S GO SEE HIM! All within, like, five minutes. Ish.

Let's hear it for epic adventures. Sounds like you had a great time.

Small concert venues can certainly be great.

Ohmigod it was AMAZING but I am STILL RECOVERING, okay, I slept for ELEVEN HOURS LAST NIGHT, because apparently the EIGHTEEN I had the night before were NOT ENOUGH, what even is my life, I HAVE THINGS TO DO, OKAY, FFFFFFFFFF-

TINY VENUES ARE THE BEST VENUES.

Hehe, yep things to do like packing, editing fics, writing fics, and thinking about going to the Dark Horse release party and drinking some free beer tonight.

We should figure out a time to catch up on Skype, since it's not looking like I'm going to manage to make it down to Portland before you skip town.

Asdfjkl;ghfds I MAKE NO PROMISES UNTIL THE MOVE IS OVER. Sorry, bro, I miss talking to you, too, but I am so busy it's not even funny and I'm starting to panic about being able to get my shit taken care of in time.

And yeah, I didn't get to the Dark Horse thingie... didn't even try, really. Had a date with Lauren to play some co-op Portal 2. (She chipped in to help me get it for my birthday; I pre-ordered it off the Steam website so I got it for 10% off, got Portal for free, and downloaded both right onto my computer. It's AWESOME.)
