I had my first class with my new school tonight.

My friend the Limey was there too, to teach a couple of adult classes. Things were a little disorganized, which is typical with a new school. No teacher's book, no CD (they just began using the 3rd edition of Let's Go which is also very new), and the Limey was trotting up and down the stairs

No major discipline issues, except the boys gave themselves five extra points while I was out of the room. I erased them, and transferred them to the girls' side saying, "Do you think I don't know my own handwriting?" They won't be doing that again.

That sounds like a good start - with both the kids and the school. I hope that the organisation and resources will be sorted out soon - hopefully so, if they actually want this to work... and also since it sounds like you're already proving a hit!
