As anyone who reads my fanfic knows, I write slash. I like to write it, I like to read it. I love the pairings and the relationships and fanfiction REALLY revived my interest in writing at a time I thought I might not get it back ( Read more... )

there's a real world out there, writing is hard!, fandom is awesome!, fanfic

Zoe I know where you are coming from, strict catholic upbringing, strict.

I can't offer any advise, as my writing/reading is firmly in the closet. Sareh Kert does not relate to my RL at all.

I don't think I've helped, but I for one love your writing, and would love to read your book, wasn't there a woman in England who became quite wealthy writing about wizards and magic :D

I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR ICON.

I think I'm going to take SGAMadison's advice and post a small note here when it comes out - I'm okay with Fandom knowing about my original fic but not the other way around!

So keep watching! It's coming June 25!

I'll look forward to it.

My icon is a cross between something I found on pinterest and KM.

I love this one, but don't use it that much, needs just the right post :D

You already got some wonderful insightfult comments, so there's not much for me to say :) But as for me, a while back I thought about this subject, and decided that I don't want to be actively hiding my slashy side. So, I won't be loudly public about it, but I'm not gonna be secretive either ( ... )

I have added you on FB! so if you just got a request from a totally random person, that's me! [I'm named after a drink, if that helps!] I keep my fannish squee totally separate from FB so rest assured, I will never post anything that may cross your boundaries. I always maintain - the best thing that ever happened to my online presence was 1. Being friends with my nephew [who has a FB account for farmville] and 2. Being friends with my late aunt, who was a nun. It keeps me from getting TOO bitchy or mean or inappropriate for the general public ( ... )

Yay, friended you back! *hugs*

I don't mind being fannish on FB, if people stop being my friends for that, well it's their loss :) (and relatives have mostly been filtered out of my posts anyway)

But I won't post anything relating to this "secret identity" side on anyone else's wall, unless in response to something they have posted that's clearly fannish/slashy.

Can't wait for Squee weekend either! I think you mentioned something about sharing a room? Though I must warn you, I might be a bit grumpy until I get my coffee :D (and snoring unfortunately runs in the family genes, though I'm told I'm not awfully loud... *slightly embarrassed*) Unless you want to share with someone you already know.

But now, off to learn about your book, congratulations!

It sounds like we may be pretty evenly matched! I too am a grouch before I've had my coffee and I am also a bit of a snorer! But if you're up for sharing, I'm in!

I know we're flying the same day (as I'll be waiting for you at the airport with my STARGATE sign, lol) - but to what day are you staying?

I fly out Monday (and I'll be so sad to leave!)
