Well, my sister graduated from high school tonight. I told myself I wouldn't cry, but damn if I did anyway. I think it was a combination of seeing my mother bawl and then receiving a flower from Lori. Have you seen the movie yet? I know you liked the book as well. They left out Kohler, and all of Father Ventresca's backstory. His relationship to the Pope was left out, and the reason he killed himself in the movie was because he was caught. In the book, there was such a sense of sorrow as he realized what he had done. You don't have that in the movie. I can actually sympathize with the camerlengo in the book. Also, the fourth cardinal was saved from drowning in the movie. Bah.

Like I said, good as a movie, but there's no way it came close to fleshing out all of the characters like the book did. Vittoria was particularly flat as well to me in the movie. Didn't mention the priest physicist that was killed being her adopted father or anything. All of those little things.
