I ran 13.1 miles in 2:29:58 today, the Mercer Island Rotary Half Marathon. I ran the race with
jonobie the whole way, though I will admit that she probably beat me in the official time by something like a second. But I'll get to that later. Overall, I thought the race went really well

Glad your knee is well enough to get *some* running in. My plan is to back off and try to build up again slowly. This time around, my knee was doing fine until a week where I just went out too fast for a 9 mile run. Given that I had run 9 mile the previous week with no pain, I'm hopeful I can get to a point where I can run 9 pain-free again. Hopefully that means I could do 13.1 pain-free as well .. We'll see.

The brutal hill on my last half-marathon was also at 11 miles. Hmm....
