Watched the Oscars last night and let the boy stay up late on a school night to watch the whole show.  We'd seen quite a few of the movies which always makes it more fun to watch.  I'm glad that Forest Whitaker won Best Actor as he really deserved it; he was scary as ( Read more... )

We finally got around to watching City of God a few days ago and it was really a work of art. It was a film about slum life in Rio de Janeiro and based on a true story.  It's sad, brutal, fast paced, and has a sense of realism that really sets it apart.  I read in one review that all of the actors were all unknowns from the actual poorer sections ( Read more... )

The woman:  What? Wine and cheese go together.  It's considered a classic.  A traditional pairing.

Haven't been on here in ages, lots of catching up to do.  Anything exciting happen?

I'm going to be publicly coming forth this evening with a new plan for the war.  I don't want to give away too many details, but there will be flying monkeys involved and they will be land at the President's ranch in force.
