Ready for a change, thanks.

This was going to be an omnibus update, but it's late and I'm tired so I'll hit some high- (well, mostly low-) lights instead ( Read more... )

book, career, birthday, food, frustration

{{sweetie}}

Come home to Portland. Seattle just keeps kicking you when you're down.
You are brilliant and creative and energetic.

And 35 is when I met Randy, and my life began. So. Don't give up hope.

{{squishing you against my motherly boobies}} ;-)

Aww, you're sweet.

I've thought about Portland, but so far it doesn't seem to have as many jobs for me (I know, I have zero here right now), and they don't pay as well. But maybe...

Oh Zippie... sounds like your butt is getting sore. From being kicked a bit, I mean, *sigh*
Hugs and more hugs..

As for your book, seriously consider serially podcasting it *IF* it is not money (right now anyway) you are interested in, but getting the book out there, and perhaps getting it published when eleventy bazillion ppls start to listen, and love your book. ( This is steadily happening in the podcast community)
Try Podiobooks.com, and PodiobooksCommunity, for authors, support groups, and mentors/mentoring.
It's an idea, and you have a great voice. Otherwise, keep plugging, getting published nowadays is the pitz....but it is possible.
Good luck on the next interview, I sure hope it lives up to your expectations, and they don't give you the ole "we think you're awesome, but we have no place for awesomeness right now" bit.

Much love!

For a novel a podcast would be great, but it's a technical how-to about visualizing information, and it requires all of the pretty pictures.

Thanks for everything. Life isn't all bad. see my next post.

Not to mention it'd be easier to sell if it was complete.

I just may. After all, it's already half written (my thesis) plus an example chapter.
