DOI exorcism fic - Clarity (G)

Jul 26, 2010 15:31

I did finish my dayofindulgence fic way back when, but I'm always up for a good exorcism. I really have no idea where I was going with this, or even if it was supposed to be part of something bigger, but it's cluttering up my hard drive and messing up my karma.

Untitled, standalone scene. Category... um... Bob? (aka, Sam, Jack, and a rifle)

I think whatever you intended to go with it, this is a great stand alone fic. Very powerful imagery and great connection between Sam and Jack whether the reader interprets the energy as sexual or just great teamwork.

Thank you very much. I think, looking at it now after not touching it for several months, it does kind of hold its own as it is. There's probably lots of times that the intimacy required to build a good team can be mistaken for something it might not be.

I agree with Rachel500 - an excellent standalone glimpse into what makes them special and keeps them alive - their ability to function as one. A good read - thank you :)

Okay, okay, I surrender! lol. Lesson learned: never write something short when your brain is in 'epic' mode. ;)
And thank you. :)

Love it! This works well alone actually. I like the "graphic" description of everything. Intense scene :)

Thanks. This is what happens when I spend too much time on Wikipedia doing 'research'. ;)

Wait, wait! Wait!! I remember this. Isn't there a rule that you are not allowed to exorcise fic without checking with me first?!??

ETA: Okay, I have now made time to come back and re-read this, and it is still really fantastic. And I agree with everyone else that it works beautifully as a standalone ficlet. :)

The rule is that I'm not allowed to *delete* anything. This is not deleting! ;)

I'll admit that it is much better after I deleted the last three or four paragraphs that were leading me astray. (which is not the same as deleting the whole thing! lol) Thanks for listening to me whine about it hon.

I do not consider getting sneak peeks of things whining. Just for clarity. :)
