If you are able to get by sticking with the job you have now I say do that. Once you are in a full time job you won't have the luxury of having a summer to relax and enjoy yourself. I figure you might as well enjoy it now. Do the martial arts since it is something you have always wanted to do.

Plus if you start out the summer with your same job and you see that you just aren't getting any hours you can always look for something else then.

If money really is an issue then going with another job sounds like your best option.

my advice is see if you can FIND any work off campus before you give any resignations...

I agree. Go look at what all your options are before you decide on one.

Also, I would go with a new job if you can get it, just because then you'd have more spending money for SDCC. You also tell new job that you can only work certain days to ensure some time off.

But it's up to you.

If I were you, I'd try to find a job closer to home first, but still keep one foot in the door of your on-campus job so you have options :) At any rate, I don't think you can lose either way here, so it wouldn't hurt to put in some applications. Good luck!

What 4persephone said. It would royally suck to quit your on-campus job only to find that nobody closer to home is hiring.
If you can find something closer, I'd go with that. Commuting is a hassle, and you'd make more money. But definitely check to see if there ARE any jobs open first.
