Oh, that is nice to hear! I'm glad you're happy with your plans. :) Do you have any advice on LIS-y things?
Yeah, it is amazing! It's a relatively cheap way to travel in lots of different countries, meet people, and get some useful farm skills as well. My friends have WWOOFed in the British Isles and Japan, and they all recommended it highly.
Where abouts do you live again? 'Cause I'll be down your way from like June-August, if you haven't passed me on the way here we should hook up! Hahaha...
Oh wow, that'd be cool! Northfield is slightly south of the Twin Cities, pretty easy to get to. I graduate on June 14th, and then I'll be here during the month of July if I get the writing tutor job. I'll keep you posted!
... Oh, duh. I just read your post about the ASU program - congratulations! Unfortunately, that's a completely different part of the state from where I live and I don't know how possible travel will be for the short while I'm home. But hey, it could happen, and if it did it'd be awesome.
I've always joked that despite my efforts to the contrary, I'll probably end up a librarian someday...and your bit about people and things and ideas just made me actually consider it and think how it'd be! But I am also reminded that one of the reasons I like museums is you get all 3 if you can find the proper niche (that's the hard part). (I hope you don't find this comment insulting, I mean it in quite the opposite way and would love to hear more of your thoughts.)
When you're back this way, I'd love to show you around Wesley where I graduated. I think you'd enjoy it. First off, it's very glbt friendly, which is rare in a seminary. Secondly, it's one of the leaders in the emerging church movement - aka the book I gave you.
Make sure you and Jess meet up when you get up in the Northwest! She's really eager to meet you!
Wow, that sounds amazing. I checked out the website a bit and it certainly looks tantalizing. I would love to hear more about your experiences and get a tour. Now I have one more reason to visit again! ;)
And I definitely plan to meet up with Jess! As I said, I have plans to be in that area anyway...
