ALICIA TOLD OWEN THAT SHE DOESN'T LOVE WILL
Personally, I'm taking this as her trying to protect herself from getting in too deep, too quickly after everything with Peter. It might be true this moment, but I totally don't buy that she has zero feelings for him at all, that it's just sex and nothing else. It would completely fly in the face of their entire history to one another.

Also, I sorta loved the Kalinda/Cary scene. I don't think it necessarily hinted at anything more than him being interested in the past, because he completely was, and the fact that he was more of a friend to her than he ever was to anyone else at Lockhart Gardner. I think for her to grow she really needs to realize how she sometimes treats people and him calling her on the bullshit of using people reinforced the hurt between her and Alicia. Yes, it was harsh, but it was true to an extent, too.

Ok, that turned out to be way longer than anticipated, sorry about that. lol.

I definitely agree that she's trying to protect herself, and I didn't mean that she doesn't have feelings for him. There's a lot of middle ground between love and just sex, and I think Alicia and Will are floating around in there somewhere. "Just sex" wouldn't make any sense based on what we know of their characters (or the bathroom sex scene, LOL).

My point was more that Owen is the closest thing she has to a friend right now, even if she doesn't really want to discuss her sex life with him, and she totally shut down the love angle. It could be self-preservation, though.

I think for her to grow she really needs to realize how she sometimes treats people and him calling her on the bullshit of using people reinforced the hurt between her and Alicia. Yes, it was harsh, but it was true to an extent, too.

Oh yes. K definitely needed this little wake-up call/kick in the pants! :p I hope we see some results from it.

What do you, as a W/A shipper, think of how they're handling it so far? :)

(Ha. Speaking of long posts...)

Oh Owen definitely is the closest confidant she has right now, what with being cut off from Kalinda and the change in her relationship with Will (she can't very well discuss it with him, can she?) and she never had that kind of relationship with Diane to start. Anyhow, she needs someone like that in her life and it's great he's there, he's nothing if not an open, caring sounding board for her. It's just an added bonus that he's hilarious, too.

I actually think they're handling it pretty well. There's still tension and confusion (oh Alicia, can't catch a break with things being straightforward, can she?) between them while allowing for progress.

LOL, not so much. "So, Will, I'm not really sure if I'm in love with you or not." Nope, not such a great idea. :p

Yeah, poor Alicia's being put through the ringer by the writers. She needs a vacation or something!

WTF is up with LJ notifications lately? I got one for lizook's post, but not for yours. ??? /tangent

Anyway, yeah, I do think Kalinda likes Cary in a platonic, "we're both kind of shady and can relate on that level" way. I also think Cary has a bit of a thing for Kalinda, but I can't see Kalinda going for someone like him.

In any case, I hope he got her to thinking about her trust/friendship issues, and how it wouldn't be so bad if she showed a little warmth every now and then *cough*to Alicia*cough*.

The poor bb is just so mixed up... she's trying for this new "I don't give a fuck" attitude, and it's just not her, no matter how much she wants it to be.

I knoooow, she breaks my heart. :( As much as I enjoy badass!eff-you!Alicia, it seems to be confusing her mightily. Perhaps she and Kalinda need to have a little chat about the drawbacks to being so closed off.

AN OWEN/KALINDA SCENE WOULD MAKE MY LIFE. Yes. This must happen now.

I'm just going to say it every week until something changes... I miss A/K scenes.Sigh. I miss them ( ... )

Eh, you'll prob. get a notification tomorrow or some other inconvenient time. It super-sucks for me when they're delayed, because I never scroll through my f-list anymore, I depend on those notices to even know when people have posted ( ... )

Just wondering, if you don't look at your f-list, how did you see my journal post? Do you just get a notification when someone updates their journal?

Re: C/K -- I feel like part of the reason she likes him is that he likes HER so much.

I completely agree with this. Poor bb is kind of desperate for affection, even if it's the gross Cary kind (though not as gross as Peter. He's got the grossness scale topped).

THAT AVATAR IS FULL OF LOVE. I still have high hopes for where the K/A relationship is going...I just kind of wish they'd hurry up with it. I don't even need to see them having sex on Alicia's desk shouting and screaming yet -- just a scene with them being awkward or overly polite would be great.

I've been trying to decide if I'd rather see Alicia having to help Kalinda or vice versa. There are merits to both sides. Hmm. *ponders*
