THIS is what Portland snow should be. It appears overnight, a morning surprise to those who retired early. Ideally on a Saturday night. Sunday morning, the world is white. Lucky you. We usually get snow on Sunday afternoon and into Monday, which makes the AM commute "something special".

We're seriously considering moving to Portland, all of us. 18 years in SLC is quite enough.

Any ideas, thoughts, inputs are appreciated.

Wow. Portland is great. It would be a big adjustment, going from someplace so dry to someplace so wet. Also socially, you'd pretty much go from being on one end of the spectrum to being on the other end. But I can't say anything bad --Portland is where all my dreams are coming true, and I love it here. Unemployment is really really bad, though. Make sure you have something solid nailed down before you move.
