I spent my first year in Toronto with absolutely no theatre work. My first show here went up in July. My second was "Hockey: The Musical" which was in Oct. I've just started rehearsals for Jerry Springer. I thought that 2 weeks between shows was really awesome! Now I have to choose between 2 different shows. I got an offer today for a tour out in

Well if I take the gig, a road trip is necessary! If I take what they're offering me right now, I'd be losing money by doing the show. We'll see what they say...

You should see if they are going to be doing another production of the NB play later on in the year and see if you can go to that one. I don't know if that is actually done in theater but I'll help you decide, if I can. Which option do you think is the best for you? What do YOU WANT to do?

There sometimes is a later run of shows but not in this case. It's a school tour so they've already booked shows in schools and can't reschedule. I really want to do Jerry Springer. I've wanted to do that show since I first heard it 3 years ago. And realistically, I can't do the show in NB. The only way I could do it is if Kitty paid full rent here in TO while I was away and she can't afford that. It sucks that I have to turn down work. Especially paid work. It was really nice to know that someone wants to pay me to do theatre again. Even if it is for a school tour. Gives me hope and reason to keep going. I've already talked to the artistic director out in NB and they can't raise the fee. But he was understanding of the situation which is nice. Good to know that I didn't burn any bridges and hopefully they'll want to cast me in something soon in the future when I can go out there. So I'm not going out east in the New Year. I will still be doing the crazy, wild, and highly offensive show that is Jerry Springer...for free...and I have
