Went in to work my shift tonight...my boss asked me into the office and promptly fired me on the spot. Since I was still on probation, there was no need for them to give me a reason. The most they would say was I wasn't fitting in well enough and there were "personality conflicts" with some of the other staff ( Read more... )

Yes it most certainly was the suck last night. Feeling better about things now though. To be honest there was alot of bullshit politics in the place and since I always decide to keep out of those as best as possible, I guess I just got cut out of the picture instead. I don't think I should have to "fit in" to do the job they're paying me for.

The only thing I've got is Elections Ontario work 1-888-ont-vote to find out info on jobs in your riding. It would be some cash anyway.

If they don't need workers in your riding, I know our riding could use some more bodies.

Thanks hun. I think I'm just going to go back to the job hunt. Take the next week or so off. I was worried about getting labour day weekend off since lucidite is coming to visit but now I don't have to worry about that. I've got a couple of leads on things so we'll see. If I get desperate I may hit you up on that one.
