The Invention of Lying is a metaphor for the invention of religion, right? (I haven't seen it.)

And don't undersell Scott's pinball tournament. Though I was "nice," our deciding game was played on a machine that is also one of my best, and one that I held the high score on for three months (until last week). He deserved to win because he played less poorly than me. :-)

Yeah. Ricky Gervais is pretty vocal about his atheism but the movie did a good job (I think) of pointing out the ridiculousness of religion without being mean about it, and maybe hinting at the good points too. But it's also just a funny/slightly interesting look at what society would be like if there was no flattery, no fiction, just all brutal truth-telling all the time. I'd definitely say it's worth a rent or a trip to a $4 theater. :)

"...and no one went home till about 3 AM."

Actually, the Beviers were lame and illed out at midnight. But that's because I had to work the next day and my children treat every morning like Christmas and wake up at 5:30.

We were indeed one of the best "Rock Bands" of all-time. Although I've never seen any other "Rock Bands" before that night. We never gave ourselves a name either.

And as I suggested at Chuck's; move to Michigan, and perform with the Corner Laughers via Skype. It would be revolutionary and make the CL even more famous than they are going to be anyway.

Oh, right. Well, everything past 9 pm or so felt like 3 AM to me since I had barely slept the night before (on the plane). :) I like how the "band room" at Chuck's house seems to have been converted into a Rock Band room. I guess real instruments aren't as fun anymore.

And if my children got up every day at 5:30 I think I might have to drug them!

Well, during the week they sort of have to be up by 6 a.m. Corinna goes to work with Jessica and it's a 40 minute drive. So we put them to bed kind of early and their internal clocks just get them up on time. Unfortunately, on the weekends when we want to sleep in they seem to get up even earlier.

Eventually we will figure out a way to make millions and work from home so we won't have to be quite so busy.

I think Rock Band is perfect if you have a bunch of guys like me around. I can SORT of play the guitar, but not enough to keep a room full of drunk/tipsy people entertained or keep up with an impromptu jam session. So rather than just kind of having fun fumbling with a real guitar it's better to just have the fake plastic stuff.

The band room only works when Khoi is in town, because he can play just about any song on guitar without having to download the tabs from the internet.
