Scott ascended all the way to the final round (up all the way from 8th place), largely because halphasian was too nice and played him on a game Scott's actually good at. Dave also unexpectedly beat Nate, last year's champion, so the two of them were the unlikely first and second place winners. Much booze was consumed, songs were played, and no one went home till about 3 AM.

I also got to see clyde_park, and I agree he and Eric and I made quite the kick-ass Rock Band team. I really don't know the last time I talked to so many people in one evening (and actually enjoyed it). I even talked to most of the (seldom-seen) Wives. Fun times.

Sunday we saw The Invention of Lying, since it was still playing at the discount theater. It was a lot better than I thought it would be; it wasn't all "how you'd get chicks to sleep with you in this situation" jokes like the preview indicated, and was actually quite sweet as well as funny. We also watched the parts he did at the Golden Globes (and fast-forwarded the rest). I re-watched all of the British Office last week too so I was in a very Ricky state of mind.

The rest of the weekend was spent fretting about Scott's loony parents (his mom and step-dad are taking the TRAIN from Michigan to California! it takes 3 days and is 4x as expensive as flying) and how we are going to take care of them when they are in the Bay Area. Plus the usual over-thinking every pro and con of which of us is going to move. If someone can make up my mind for me and figure out my life, by all means, do.
