 So I am still a bit overwhelmed. This was my first con. and I've got to admit I was a bit scared at first. Most of you knew each other if not by face then by name so I felt completely out of the loop. You guys are a wonderful bunch who made me feel welcomed especially since I just kind of appeared out of nowhere.

Thanks and I hope the fires stay away. I am still ok though since the fires are a bit further from my house specifically which would be about 7.5 miles, but I do live close to mountains so just have to keep a look out.
LOL, I just decided to pick the very first fic listed and wow is that a long one. ::shrugs:: I love long fics so I began and then I didn't want to look away. It is 'For Someone Special' by Lady of The Masque. I'm not done yet but I will probably finish tonight.
I am so glad that the suggestion is working. I've never really done a brainstorm for a fic in the making so I'm glad I was able to contribute. :o)
Oh yes I still have to reply to your e-mail which I know was not meant to be funny but I literally looked like a maniac laughing my head off while trying to drive home from work in rush hour yesterday. More to come I'm sure. XOXO

So, the best part of the weekend for me? The exactly 30 minutes I spent on Sunday talking to you and Lariope as we waited to check out at noon. I could've carried on that conversation for three days, LOL! And then to find out you're a talented artist as well? Dude, you rock.

Thank you ::blushes:: it was awesome and I just got a bit lucky in that Lariope was staying another night. Let me assure you we didn't want to go to sleep, but unfortunately early flights for the girls and all of that. I even woke up with a scratchy voice from all the talking! Fun times and I do wish you'd make it to Infinitus, maybe by then I would have gotten better at drawing people free hand and I'll have more HP goodness :oD

Sweetie, you weren't the only one who felt a tiny bit out of the loop - this was the first 'con' for lots of us. It was good to meet people I'd talked to on LJ, and I kept thinking, "I've read her fics, and hers too - oh, and I've read her too!"

This was a great time, and although I'd love to go to Infinitus, I'm also very eager to see if other informal cons pop up. <3

Yes, I have come to find that for many this was their first con. I was a bit more nervous because I'm completely new to SSHG so I can't even say 'hey you wrote so and so!' But I am brushing up on my reading thanks to some recs from Lariope and if you could point me the right way to another list or some of your faves I'd be more than happy to follow!
I do hope more informals come up, this one was awesome. I know most of this group is pretty middle and east coast heavy, but I'd def. try to make it to any get together.

Here are some fics that have meant a bunch to me - some are Snape/OFC, but most are SSHG. I'll be interested in knowing what SSHG you ever do end up reading.

And next time we get together, I'd love to talk Snarry and Drarry with you and Dix!!

I know how you feel ;) I'm out of the loop considering I'm the slasher of the group. I still haven't figured out how I ended up hanging with all you SS/HGers but I'm very glad I do. I always feel awful for not reading any of their fic (LOLOL) I swear the SS/HGers are the nicest group in the fandom.

I hope the fire stays away! I imagine that's really scary. At least when a hurricane comes my way, I have plenty of time to get the hell out.

Damn, I hate to go back to RL too. The thought of packing my robes away til nest summer makes me feel so sad.

??? Dude! Why didn't I talk to you more? I know where you're coming from because I'm mostly Snarry, Drarry, and Drape. How I got in with all these lovely SSHG-ers I don't think I'll every figure out, but so far with the recs(I'll try everything once) I've got it's going great.
I am also hoping for the fires to stay away, but, I know this will sound mean and heartless, in the hotel business and in these hard times we only really stay afloat when a natural disaster where people are displaced from their homes happen. It is the only way for us to be able to keep our jobs. Now I know there is a possibility for my home to be in danger, but really if I don't have a job I can't keep my home either so ::shrugs::
Now that's a bit of RL and I so don't want to go back to it! Off to friend now :)
