This is certainly their attitude in OotP with the first years.
And Ron wears tidy whities. LOL. I also liked the contents of Ron's trunk. It evoked scenes from the other books and made this really feel like JKR's world.

I always wonder if I've portrayed characters true to canon.
The twins do seem hardest on Ron to me. Heck, they're nicer to Harry sometimes- gave him the map, for example.
2-Did you spot Fred/George differences?
Hopefully the twins will leave me alone now and I can move on to my Marauder WIP, which has been eluding me. Maybe because I'm scared to mess it up. I keep writing around it. Thanks for stopping by!

The other thing with F&G is that they don't tend to do things unless provoked - the teddy bear into a spider was after he broke their broom. And when they do do something surprising, the results are short-lived - like Neville and the canary creams. So if you changed the prank to something less harmful - like an invisibilty charm on the underpants (sort of like the headless hats) it could be funny but not hurtful.
I noticed that Fred had the ideas and that George either agreed or questioned his ideas.
