Sites for learning Chinese

What are some of your favorite websites for learning Chinese? Mine are:

& Zhongwen.com, a good dictionary for a quick search on more common words and phrases.
& Pristine Lexicon, a nice resource for less common words. You can only search a certain number of times per day, though, it seems.
& MDBG Chinese-English dictionary, mostly helpful (for ( Read more... )

Chinesepod.com! :D Oh, and youtube for random videos in Chinese.

I wish I knew a magic cure for the disappearing vocabulary thing, but I don't...I guess I'll always have to lug around a dictionary with me. x.x

Ooh, I've seen chinesepod.com...didn't know if it was worth signing up, though. And I like Youtube, too--I like to listen to Chinese songs and sometimes learn the song lyrics.

I guess I'll always have to lug around a dictionary with me. x.x

Hehe. But even that won't work sometimes ("I can't find 'white-backed duck' in my dictionary!"). ;)

You don't have to sign up, actually. Just click on the button to browse by levels. :D

Yeah...this is true...lug around a native speaker with me?

I like:
Oneaday because I can never seem to think of just the right 成语 for the situation, and this site helps me build up my repertoire,
and
Daily Chinese Word because it amazes me by coming up with totally obscure words I've never heard of. They're all really literary words though, so they're not that useful.

Oh, Oneaday looks neat...I have a book of 成語, but I can't work up a proper schedule for studying them. This looks great, and if I want a more detailed definition I can just look it up in the Chengyu dictionary.

Thanks for commenting! That community looks helpful. =) And the last one might be helpful if I weren't too lazy to read it all. ;P

See also Learn Chinese @ CRI English.

I find the "Learn Chinese Now" and "Chinese Studio" short lessons are handy, just to get used to hearing speech. They're at a fairly easy level, but then I find that my problem with learning is not enough exposure, so having something to listen to on a semi-regular basis helps me immensely.

Oh, that looks pretty interesting! Thanks. =) And simple enough to understand, too.
