I am slowly clawing my way out of internet desynch, having foolishly made an initial attempt right before the holidays commenced their usual brain-eating. 2147 mails in my inbox, but the good news is only 384 of them are unread!

jsridler has fallen full throttle into the livejournal thing, as I thought he would long ago, and so also made his one request

Ha. :) Thanks. :) Yeah, I think I felt compelled to hide it a bit because I didn't want to say anything before I had the contract, and then once a few months had passed it felt old. ;) Also I'm sure there are a few reading to whom this is no big deal...

Ha -- thanks for understanding. :) I still count poetry sales as something less than fiction sales because they are easier to make, but Asimov's is tough. Congratulations to you again on your Realms sale! I have stupid reasons for not subbing there. But a fiction sale there would certainly be a bigger deal.

The cat icon was actually a mistake -- that is/was my cat, but he doesn't live with me anymore, stayed after my separation in 2006. I meant to click on the icon below it, but I do still like the photo. He's a very neat cat.

Wow. Outstanding. Congratulations on the sale to Asimov's! That's certainly one of my dreams. Unfortunately, I haven't really written anything appropriate to their market, but I really should get back to writing short fiction again.
