Congrats on making it to the other side of the country!
That tree looks like it could be covered in clementines, but seeing as I know nothing about them, it's likely I am wrong.
The vastness of the land out there... it's really something else. I wish I could see it first hand.
I really miss the little stores in the town my grandparents live in, almost everything there is local and cute.
I'm excited to see how your return route goes.

Thanks! I was thinking the same, but I think the tree they were on was a bit too small to be able to carry something like twenty clementines on one branch (I know they fall, but I don't think clementines grow in such close bunches like these were).

No one should die having never seen these views firsthand. Jess, you need to get out here one day!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumquat

msybe they are kumquats which are basically mini little bitter citrus fruit with sweet skins that you just pop the whole thing in your mouth... warning don't eat nothing but kumquats all day or you will have diarrhea all the next day... not that i know from experience or anything :/

can't tell if the skin in the picture you posted is citrus skin or thin like tomato skin hmmm

We never tried touching them, so I can't offer much more clue as to what they are.
