You may hate me for it, but I wound up hyper anti-Tennant. By the end of his run I was working for the BBC in Cardiff and his smug sodding face was EVERYWHERE. I really grew to feel like the Tenth was oozing arrogance and self-indulgence from every pore.

As an old lady, I was a wee bit cross at having an even younger Doctor in Matt Smith, but he has pretty well charmed me. Helps that I got to see a lot of the outside scenes in his first episode being filmed (they were done in the Welsh village I walked through daily to and from the office) and colleagues of mine who worked on set reported back that he was humble, genuinely interested in what the crew were doing and how they did it, and generally just a lovely guy.

Tom Baker will always be the Doctor for me, regardless.
