Luggage recommendations

Those of you who travel a lot - what do you look for in luggage? I'm thinking of buying a new suitcase for our trip next month. My current bag is really a large carryon, and I always have trouble packing for a whole week

I'd suggest looking at Tuesday Morning. They usually don't have a huge selection but it's usually a decent selection of decent quality pretty affordable. I got a fantastic suitcase there! Good size, great wheels, made well. It also happened to be a rather hideous grey snakeskin upholstery pattern. Wasn't expensive at all! I don't mind the color/pattern at all. I can spot it easily on ANY luggage carosel! (not every bag is ugly, promise)
