I don't think it's that uncommon in Asian cultures? I've a 24-year-old cousin who grew up and went to college in China who's never had a girlfriend - to my knowledge. Or the knowledge of his mother.
Probably it isn't. But she seemed bummed about it, so if I could, I'd like to do something about it. The way she put it too. "Ever since I was born, I've never had a boyfriend". Sure seemed like she'd like to have one. And her mom seemed bummed about it too...

kabocha squash (or pumpkins, or whatever) are indeed fruit, technically speaking. most of the things we consider to be vegetables are fruit: tomatoes, cucumber, corn, sweet peppers. culinarily speaking, though, we'd call squash a vegetable because it's not sweet. doesn't make you any less correct. ;)
okay, that was like the most boring comment ever. i think i need more coffee. also, i think you'd like my korean teacher. even though it's a super-beginning class, she seems kind of hardcore. XD
