Characters: Jon and Felicia. What: MOVIE NIGHT Where: An as yet uncharted room. When: Backdated to the evening of April 26. Warnings: Cheesy musicals and cute tiems are go.
Felicia was on her way, attempting to be as quiet as she could. There was no way she could escape Jon's senses, even in human form, but still she treated it like a game. Just to see if she could get the drop on him. And so she padded on all fours, slowly and quietly, hiding behind columns as she crept up behind him...
The corners of Jon's mouth twitched upward ever so slightly. He could hear her almost silent footfalls, and her scent was still like no other he knew of. But this evening he was in the mood to humor her a little so made no motion nor noise to indicate he'd heard her. He remained perfectly still, arms folded, shoulders to the wall, staring into space.
Felicia, still confident that she was undetected, continued to work. As she got closer to him, she transformed into cat form, and scurried out from behind a column, to Jon's legs, nuzzling him and purring.
"Ahhh. You got me." he said, reaching down to ruffle her ears. He stopped leaning against the wall and looked down the hall. "So - which way you wanna head?"
Felicia giggled. "Aw, you're gonna make me blush!" she teased happily.
As the movie progressed, she pointed out the next major scene. "It's always so sad when I see this part," she remarked. "Where Danny tries to be all macho in front of his friends when he sees Sandy again? I don't like it when guys put on fronts like that. It's so dishonest..."
Jon nodded. She was right, of course... compared to how he was acting before it really was an unpleasant change. Though... it was hard not to empathise even just a little.
"...well.. it ain't always easy, is it?" he replied. "To say everythin' you might wanna. If you're not used to it or you're... y'know..." He gave a shrug. "Not that... well. Anyway." he finished lamely as poor Sandy stormed off upset.
"I suppose you're right," she said. "Well, later on you see he's really just vulnerable, seeing her there while he's with all his friends? I guess he freaked out. But still, I can't say I blame her for reacting the way she did!"
The movie continued on. And they came to the sleepover scene.
Jon nodded as she spoke. "I don't blame her either, just so we're clear."
As the movie progressed into the number about how chaste Sandy was, Jon wrinkled his nose a little. Sure... he could see how her attitude might be a target for scorn... but at this point in the film she seemed to be getting a raw deal. "Poor thing."
