We've almost got him trained not to shoot lasers anymore, though.

They match! So cute!
Hooray for kitties (even when they're naughty.)

To my knowledge they are unrelated--Bodhi was our shelter boy and Jack we had since kittenhood. But pretty clearly from a similar genetic pool.

I wonder if they are brothers? Or if Bodhi is Jack's dad? It would explain a lot of their mutual irritation.

Omigosh, my friend's cat is named Bodhi too. It's short for Boddhvista.

Same with ours...we named him b/c when we picked him up from the pound he was very calm and quiet. Turns out that was a total lie! The little bastard was all like, psych! the instant we got attached to the name, and now he's hyper and agitated all the time. A friend says now his name is Bodhi because he teaches us patience rather than the other way around.

Yay for the kittehs!

I think it's funny how Jack always knows when you are taking a picture of him these days. He's such a little diva. And Bodhi, well Bodhi-beau couldn't care less until the camera makes a noise that he doesn't like and then the subsequent FREAK OUT!!!!

Jack actually does look like Elton John in this picture. Cyborg Elton John from the future. All he needs are purple spectacles.

We actually contemplated renaming Bodhi as Ennis a while back. Because there seems to be this pick on you/groom you/snuggle you feint Bodhi pulls that has turned Jack into a nervous wreck. "Am I licking you because I love you, or am I licking you because I'm tasting you to decide if I want to chomp your ear? You just don't know!"

Vixen doesn't like to roughhouse, maybe because she's so much smaller than the boys, but she'll lay with Ralph until he starts getting fidgety and then the hissing and caterwauling will commence.

Yeah, Jack sleeps twice as much as Bodhi, so I think the hissing happens because Bodhi gets bored and is like, I'm gonna poke you till you get up and play with me. I wish they'd do like children do and go play in the other room instead of staging epic battles on my bed.

Could be worse. They could start fighting directly on top of you. That's, like, the only place mine will pick a fight. I think they're both vying for the status to lay on top of me when I sleep, which I don't mind. I just mind it when they start fighting over it. Then I thrust my arm up and fling both of them off, and they huddle up in opposite corners as if they're thinking, "Fuck! Now we've done it!"

Oh, it's happened. For a while I was definitely the last territory to be worked out between them. Jack likes to sleep on my butt (overstuffed and heated furniture that it is) when I'm laying on my stomach, and Bodhi and he have rolled up and down my back snarling a few times. Usually I give up and put Bodhi in the garage. Bodhi's too stupid to hold a grudge. Jack, on the other hand, will give you hell if he has to spend the night out there.
