There is good and there is bad.

Good:

• My father asked to speak to J tonight, to ask him about information on breast cancer (J used his connections in medical devices to gather some information). My father was moved, and thankful, that J had chosen to involve himself to try and help.
• My father has been looking up what questions to ask the oncologist.

Wow. That's really rough. Perhaps with all the research that your family is doing and the tracking and such, it helps put her closer to the 88%, which is a really good number.

I will keep my fingers crossed for that.

Also, remember that breast cancer is being aggressively studied and fought. She's already got good odds (although *any* odds are scary). The longer she has it, the more likely they are to come up with effective treatments.
