[Somewhere within Hyrule Field, a young girl clothed in green is wandering. She is a Kokiri, a member of the race of eternal children. She's been aimlessly walking through the field for hours, and she's completely lost. She's not panicking, but she's is a bit anxious. She doesn't know how to get back to the forest, nor does she know what part of

[Searching for any sign of life in this new, empty Hyrule, Goron Link spots Saria in the distance. He quickly makes his way to her, eager to talk to someone.]

Hey! Hey, goro!

[Catching up to her, GLink realizes she looks oddly familiar.]

You look like someone I know, goro. I'm Link, what's your name?

[Saria smiles politely, glad to see she's finally found someone in this vast field.]

Oh, hi!

[As the Goron states his name, Saria's a bit surprised]

Oh, your name is Link? My best friend's name is Link!

Well, my name is Saria. It's nice to meet you!

[At Saria's introduction, GLink remembers who she reminds him of.]

Oh! You dress just like my big brother, goro! His name was Link, too.

[Saria thinks this over for a moment.]

Really? Another person named Link, who dresses like a Kokiri, too? How curious!

[...It's Saria, the Sage from the forest. Sheik stops fiddling with the pearl-colored cuff on his right wrist and moves to kneel on a large rock, watching the Kokiri child.]

Do you wish to go back to the woods?

[At the sound of a voice, Saria spins around to see a man kneeling on a rock. She's a bit surprised; she definitely hadn't noticed him there before.]

Well, yes, I would! Do you happen to know where the woods are?

[tehnrija]

[Sheik nods, keeping a calm demeanor. Hopefully he doesn't look too aloof to her; he tries not to be.]

I do. [pointing to the southeast] If you would like, I can accompany you. It is unwise to travel alone.

[And yet, Sheik has done so countless times.]

[Saria smiles at the man; she truly appreciates his offer.]

That would be great! I don't want to trouble you, though.

[regnant_zelda]

[Attracted to a small moving figure greener than the field, Zelda moved to it quickly.

[It was a child, a very green child, but a child nonetheless. Her heart softened and her guard went down.]

Are you lost?

[forever_kokiri]

[Spotting the woman approaching her, Saria smiles and waves.]

Hello! Um, yes I am...

You wouldn't happen to know where the Kokiri Forest is, would you, miss?

[In theory, yes, she knew. It was somewhere...westward? Or eastward...? But then, the Lost Woods were to the south in her time...Or...?

[The mythical wood of the children who never aged--that would explain the clothes. But they had long been engulfed by Faron Woods and the Lost Woods, according to record.]

I'm afraid I don't, young lady. But I'm sure there are others who do.

[Saria appears a bit disheartened]

Oh, I see...

But you're probably right! I'll just have to find someone who does know, and that shouldn't be too hard!

[Brightening up, Saria looks at the woman and smiles.]

[Link sees someone walking around, someone he doesn't remember seeing around here before. He turns for a better look --

[--and has to pinch his leg to convince himself he's seeing who he's seeing. Saria. He hasn't seen her in what feels like forever!

[He gives her a big wave.]

Saria!

[forever_kokiri]

[At the sight of Link, Saria's worried mood breaks. She responds with a big wave of her own, and runs up to him, smiling.]

Link! I'm so glad to see you!

[She pauses for a brief moment, and then adds,]

But, where are we? And what are you doing out here?

This? This is Hyrule Field.

[The second question catches him off guard. Doesn't she remember? Then again, considering everything else, maybe she doesn't. Or maybe time's all mixed up... His sword and shield are suddenly heavy as lead against his shoulders.]

I'm just... um... I'm getting my bearings.

[forever_kokiri]

Hyrule Field? Hm... So this is what it's like outside the forest!

[She's thoughtful for a moment, then turns her attention back to Link as he speaks again.]

Well, okay then.

[She then spots the sword and shield, and is confused. The last time she'd seen Link, (which had been fairly recently) he'd definitely not had those with him...]

Though, when did you get that sword and shield?

[Navi notices the girl, flying over to float in front of her.]

You're here! [A smile]

[Saria looks up to spot a glowing blue fairy flying nearby her. The Kokiri girl smiles.]

Oh, hello, fairy! You're pretty far from the forest too...

You know who I am, so I'm guessing we've met... but I can't seem to remember your name. I'm sorry! Could you remind me please?
[Saria gives a rather embarrassed smile.]

[ooc: This Saria's pre-OoT, so I'm assuming she's never met Navi. ^^;;]

Ooc: Not a problem either =D

[She's a little confused, but decides that since a lot of things are confusing lately, she'll just go with the flow.]

Er, I'm Navi. [She smiles.]
I'm Link's fairy.

[However, at her second statement, Saria tilts her head, curiously.]

Link... has a fairy?

[Saria blinks. She knows she should be happy for him, of course. He'd finally gotten his own fairy! That was wonderful news! But... it was confusing, too. She remembers having encountered him about half an hour before, with a sword and shield, and she hadn't quite understood why he would have such things either... She was beginning to get the feeling something odd was going on.]

Yes, I saw him earlier today, in this field...
